got pulled over on the way to work this morning...

75 in a 60....

traffic was flowing pretty thick but not fast, i was going up the ramp going south on the tollway onto george bush west... in 5th gear... and he said i was doing 75...

and because of our wonderful system, there's nothing i can do but smile and write a MF check to the state....

no, that's the thing.. i *wasn't* speeding.. flow of traffic wasn't even close to 75... and going up the ramp and that particular turn in 5th isn't going to happen, not at 75...

and i have an escort 8500, on and working (worked great for the 2 separate drives to houston in the last 2 weeks)... not a single time did it go off...

there's no playing here... i was simply going to work, drinking my freakin nesquik....

but still they will get $100 + def driving time & $ out of me...

In that case fight it. do the usual, delay it a few times to get your court date changed then show up when they won't delay it anymore, and argue that the flow of traffic at 7:00 AM on a weekday would not allow it. Also go take a picture of traffic flow at 7:00 and show it in court if necessary. this one should be an easy win. Might even go trial by jury.....

then figure in your time/effort/possibilty of losing and paying fine + court fees.

thing is that it's designed (esp w/ my work schedule of 7-4) to make it difficult for me to do so without using my own personal/vacation days... which honestly aren't worth $100 to me... looks like they found the right $ amount to make people 'give in'... i'm pissed about it.. but either a lawyer or the effort to fight it isn't cost efficient...

This is what I have been doing for a ticket for a year and 7 months now. First I told them I was in Europe for 6 months to delay the court date. Then keep making excuses. Eventually I know when I do go to court the cop will have completely forgotten about the situation giving me the upper hand.

a cpl of years back driving thru' roanoke i got a 69 in a 55 tkt, the bitch said she clocked my speed, but my V1 didnt go off. I hate lying ba$tards !!!!!

took the DD class online and HATED it !!!! if given a choice DO NOT take the online one. U have to spend a certain amt of time on each section and they have a surprise quiz at the end of sections, fuqed up questions like what is the % of passenger fatalities in car crashes, who cares about $hit like that !!!!!
