Well, since no one in SoCal knows how to drive, and it's been raining here for the last 2 days, I thought I'd start a thread for accident reporting. This one took place right outside my apartment complex:

The grey Audi TT had rims and exhaust....the front right rim/tire is completely perpendicular to the vehicle, and is smashed into the body work. The grey Saturn's entire front end is smashed into.

Of course it takes 5 (plus 2 more that JUST left) cops to fill out an accident report right?

Does it really require 4 cop cars & a security unit (I'm guessing) to report an accident??

I wish i had my camera on the way home from new years parties. I was up in LA and drove back down to Huntington Beach where i live. I saw about 7 cops, 2 accidents, the ground was wet, tons of fog and you know half the people were drunk. Not to mention the flow of traffic was its usually 85 on the 405. Im sure there was some good accidents.

The white car looks like crime scene investigation. Good to see my tax dollars at work. :shifty

Just before 8 am, 405 northbound near Carson, 2 collisions near the carpool lane. A silver Mitsu Rodeo SUV took it on both ends, saw him and another car roll towards the right side. I knew something was up when everyone's brake lights lit up. I started slowing down but ironically, people around me did not. People just don't know how to drive in the rain.

I was driving back from Tahoe on the 395 last night, Jan 1st. I was only driving 25mph due to the amount of snow and ice on the road. I was in my wifes Nissan. In the four hours I was driving in the snow about 20 4x4's of different types flew by me thinking that they were cool in there trucks in the snow. I kid you not, I saw more than half of them spun out in the snow the further I drove...stupid cali drivers

in our defence, the lack of rain means that the oils on the road have a lot more time to build up. When it rains, it's a lot slicker on So Cal roads than it is on Seatle roads. Plus so many people run summer tires all year long.

Thats true, I've managed to understeer like mad on greasy roads (not enough to drift into another lane tho)

But yea, little rain on roads can get kinda like ice. But I hate ice more

Damn, too bad i'm fresh out of cars. otherwise i might be able to participate in the rain wreckage :stickoutt

Eh, I've always heard the oil thing is only a factor for the first 15-30 minutes or so, then it's pretty much washed off... :dunno
