I got a call this morning from a lady that purchased a shar pei puppy from us 3 years ago. She is moving into an apartment and cannot keep the dog any longer and wanted to know if we would either take him back or help her find him a home. I will not go into the way I feel about this, but suffice it to say I am a bit upset that people think pets are disposable and would just give up a dog they've had for 3 years because they couldn't find an apartment that took pets. Lame excuse.

We kept a pup from this litter, one of this dog's brothers, and he is beautiful (even for a shar pei, who are not known for being "pretty"!) I literally know nothing about this dog... he's 3, his name is Max, and all the pups from the litter were healthy. She said he has a great, very laid back temperament but like all shar peis, they are loyal to their owner so there will be an adjustment period I'm sure. If you have any questions and are seriously interested please PM me or ask here and I'll call the lady to find out the answers.

When we sold him as a pup, he was tan with a bit of black around the neck. The black part was individual hairs mixed in, not like patches. We've seen pics of some of the other pups from that litter and all their black faded out and they're solid tan now, as is the dog we kept. I would assume that he's solid tan. This is a pic of the pup we kept from that litter... (and yes, I grabbed flip flops and crammed them on with socks to go outside while lounging around the house iin my jammies a few weeks ago. Ew, I know.)
