View Full Version : Body Shop in NYC/Queens Area?

Anyone have a recommendation for a good BMW-oriented collision shop in NYC? I used to swear by Small Car Collision in Flushing, but I can't seem to get in touch with them; the phone # is out of service. I'm going to try to swing by today or tomorrow anyway just to see whether the storefront is still open, but I'm not hopeful.

Had an incident coming home from a New Year's Eve party; took a curve and hit the accelerator just past the apex, but unfortunately right atop a sheet of black ice, lost grip on the rears, and skidded laterally into a curb. Rear passenger side wheel's camber is totally screwed up; looks like a bent control arm or bent axle; the front passenger side wheel is shredded, and it looks like the whole spindle has come off.

Any recommendations appreciated.

I just went by, and it looks like they've become a Ford shop now.

This is quite depressing.

I visited this shop about a year ago, don't know if they are still around. When I was there, they were fixing up quite a few luxury cars. Also, some others mentioned this place as well. See if it helps you out.

Yeah i know. Al closed down his shop last year. I guess he retired early. His work was precise and always flawless. Try calling one of his workers Vito he will guide you in the right direction. Pm me and ill give you his number.

Any input on V&S Motor Service in Bayside?

Bayside BMW uses them as their body shop, but I can't seem to find any feedback newer than 5 years ago on the boards (it was a complaint.) I don't think they're open today, so I can't go by, but it's been a while since the accident and I really need to get my wheels back.

I would go to one of the other shops, except my chassis is non-rolling (front wheel is out of commission) and I don't want to risk a long-distance tow.

i would not recommend going there (V&S). Quality of work is not the greatest. When my friend haf his silver M3 completely painted, the color ended up being a non factory silver which could never be matched again. The paint chipped within a year.
