View Full Version : installed intake snappermini 09-04-2002, 06:14 PM $25.00 and a pipe left over from my Accord. jblack 09-04-2002, 06:26 PM Isn't that a hot air intake? I think that will slow you down, rather than speed you up (hot air is less dense). Might sound OK, though... BTW....welcome and lets see some more pics of that car! SilverStreak 09-04-2002, 06:39 PM Welcome to BimmerForums, snapper! snappermini 09-04-2002, 07:15 PM Sounds great and feels like it makes a difference. Plan on making some kind of heat shield for it. DriveBy 09-04-2002, 07:42 PM Great job on the install. What is the total cost out of pocket? Kyle K. 09-04-2002, 09:56 PM Clean install man! That probably sounds pretty damn good, and I've read that the intake on the S is actually pretty restrictive and a cone type intake can increase power more than would be expected :buttrock But yeah... no teasing man. You can't just post ONE picture... we need at least 50  :D btw: welcome to bimmerforums! Stick around... our MINI forum is going to be awesome real soon :buttrock snappermini 09-04-2002, 10:00 PM Thanks guys. Total cost was $25. for the AEM filter. snappermini 09-04-2002, 10:15 PM Will post more pics. Kyle K. 09-05-2002, 11:07 AM Sweet! I wonder if they'd sell him just the heatshield though :dunno Too bad they don't make one with a heatshield for the MC :( snappermini 09-05-2002, 04:11 PM :cashwalle That is nice but big bucks for just the intake. I hope to have someone fabricate a carbon fiber heat shield and new pipe. DriveBy 09-05-2002, 07:28 PM Snappermini, you can't beat the price you paid. I think the next least expensive option is around $1xx from BMP Design, right? I would suggest buying the BMP Design heat shield. |
