Hi,

I own an E30 M3 and I'm thinking of selling it, but I would like to know what would be a fair asking price. NOTE: It doesn't have to sell quick but I want the right money for it!

Here are some specs (I can't upload pics yet, I'm not allowed to do or something like that)

It has 84000 miles, Diamond Black titile clean, options: everything
-Engine+gearbox+diff are totally rebuilt by Kempower in Belgium, a real specialist, M-engines from all around the word are brought to him
-The engine now has 11:1 compression, Schrick cams, a little bit a prepared cilinderhead and Evo2 airbox this is all done by Kempower in Belgium (there are only 71 of these Kempowers made)
-I have every single original BMW part that has been replaced so I have original clutch, cams, pistons, timingchain and lots more If I would sell it you get these spares also, they are included in the asking price.
-I have for over $20000 for bills, all documented!
-Car is in a very, very good shape no cracks, no dents, no dings only very little stone chips but only very little
-Technical this M3 E30 is perfection, the engine doesn't use ANY oil, really it doesn't it doesn't leak anywhere, it has more bhp as original stated by kempower (254 bhp does it have) it pulls very strong from 1000 till 7500 rpm, it doesn't make any strange sounds you only hear the valves when the engine is cold, the engine doesn't get to warm and it has a very good cold start. the gearbox shifts very smoothy and doesn't make any strange sounds either and so does the diff.
-The car has billstein shocks
-The interior is in very good shape too, no cracks or so, only the drivers seat is a bit worn, this is the only bad thing on the car for me.
- My alloys are BBS Rx 17'' (also in good shape) And I have a bbs steeringwheel
-The car was built in 1988
-I'm the fouth owner, and I have contact info from the second owner who owned the car for 11 years and the thirth owner who owned the car for 4 years. I also have the phone number from the specialist who maintained the car for the past 15 years and from the guy who maintained the car the last year

Please klet me know what you think it's worth (an indication) I will see whether I can upload pics later!

Thanks in advance a lot, I really appreciate it,

///M Greetings Joe

PS you also get a spare ABS computer and relay, the are rather expensive......

Here you can have some pics but you have to put http in front of the link that you see here under:

Without looking at the pics, and assuming a US model, I'd say easily the mid to high teens. Maybe higher if you found just the right collector.

Hi,

thanks for your reply and now I go a bit offtopic, I see you have all the M3's (e30, e36, e46) may I ask you which one you like best and now not, on the highway the e36, on the track e30 and that kind of shit but just if you had to sell two of them, which M3 would stay?

hi, thanks for the comment, but I cannot post url's yet, I think you need more posts before you can do it, and therefore you have to put http in front of it so now the computer doesn't recognize it as an URL

I would think a perfect car, low miles and 100% would be worth about 22-30k,now this means concours type, as it was when new.

I'd have to agree that yours would be in the 17-18 range, I sold mine, a real clean driver with 95k on it for 11.5k Though its a shame I would rather buy one that no one has done any work to and do it all myself.

I had an 88 bone stock, concourse condition car with 26,000 miles that I sold for 26 grand. That was about two months ago. The good cars that are original (stock), low mileage (under 40K), will easily sell in the low to mid 20's, because the collectors will pay top dollar for a good car. Cars that have been rebuilt and altered regardless of mileage, will sell all over the board, but high teens would be pushing it. I think most likely your car is worth 12-15. Thats just my opinion though. I know of several stock perfect cars that have 80+K that are for sale for the high teens and they arent selling.
Keep in mind cars that have had three or four owners, and have all that aftermarket performance stuff on them, are worth less. Wheels, chips, cosmetic evo parts, and bolt on stuff that can easily be swapped back to stock parts, dont hurt it at all.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to recoup your investments in these cars. Your car looks and sounds very nice, and I would value it around $16-18K.

You asked about the different versions of M3s. I have owned all three versions over the years: a 91, 95, 98, and 02. My current M3 is a 1989 E30. I liked the E36 and E46 very much, but I LOVE the E30.
