After some research, I finally found a company that can install the Sirius receiver and Ice-link Ipod hook up on a 2003 E39 with DSP/Nav. Tom at info@europeanautosource.com did a fantastic job hooking up the system.

We had a bit of trouble at first b/c my system was not recognizing the Sirius tuner, but after Tom did some troubleshooting, we figured out it was the radio head unit. Sure enough, once we replaced the head unit, bam the system recognized Sirius. As an added bonus I did not need the DSP converter to get it to work. I am not entirely sure why other than possibly it was the newer radio headunit.

Bottom line, if you want Sirius/Ipod setup and you have DSP/Nav in an E39, it is possible and does work with full system integration - - you can control it through the steering wheel and/or the nav system.:redspot

Since all of the system is integrated into the car, there isn't anything to show. If you want installation photos, send an email to tom@europeanautosource.com.

I could take a photo of my car where is says "Sirius" but who gives a shiat about that.

It was about $800 for icelink, BMW sirius receiver unit and installation. BTW he installed the antennae stealth but I still get great reception. In other words, it isn't mounted all gay on top of your trunk making the car look wack. Instead its stealth in the back of the car.:evil2
