Robocop 12-31-2005, 09:32 PM The bike is a 110cc 4 stroke with a 4 speed automatic transmission. It has suspension for the smooth ride and electric start, horn, turn signals. xenon looking headlight up front with a amber light looks nice! This bike is very fast it
has the following modifications: Pocketbikesunlimited Exhaust Sytstem, Air Intake, Race Sprockets, Racing Heavy Duty Chain.
It hits about 50mph.
Can a cop pull you over for driving this on the road?

liquidtiger720 12-31-2005, 09:47 PM 0% legal on public roads afaik.

Eric BMW 12-31-2005, 09:56 PM is it for sale? always wanted one of these little things so i can find another way to almost kill myself.
Robocop 12-31-2005, 10:42 PM Yeah, I really wanted to buy it :(
Guess I can't.

Sucks, I always though they were as legal as gopeds.
BoostedBoogie 01-01-2006, 02:37 AM it's still slow, trust me. go italian or one of the smaller replicas.
bimmerboi330 01-01-2006, 02:50 AM If it goes over 25 mph, you need a license for it. End of story, so not legal unless you hold an M1 license.
islandbeef 01-01-2006, 03:05 AM A year ago these bikes were the hottest item on the market. Now the trend has cooled off quite a bit.
Robocop 01-01-2006, 03:37 AM I think it's because they found out they are totally illegal on the street. :(
haha, I'm bummed.
Coupe E36 01-01-2006, 06:38 AM i have one.. and have my m1 license.. i rode it to work.. ahhaa.. just had a helmet and that was it..
Robocop 01-01-2006, 07:39 AM Is the license all you need? I would think with these crazy laws you'll need
insurence. lol
You never know.
Probably need to put reflecters, blinkers, mirrors, a horn, and register it as a kit car to
be street legal :P
BoostedBoogie 01-01-2006, 11:21 AM it is still illegal no matter what, license or not. i'm a moderator of pocketbikeplanet so i would know. you would need to modify headlight height, wheel base, etc. these bikes never came with VINs, so how would you insure it? how would you register it?
until pocketbikes come with vin numbers, you can only legally ride them on the track or private property with the waiver of the owner. some of the newer pocketbikes came with registration numbers and replica "vin" numbers, but law never passed them and they are not DA approved numbers.
M34sale 01-01-2006, 03:09 PM Pocket bikes — Bans the use of so-called pocket bikes — small motorcycles with two-stroke engines that can go up to 50 mph — on highways, sidewalks, bike paths, hiking trails and public lands open to off-highway vehicles. (AB 1051 by Assemblyman John Benoit, R-Palm Desert)

your right.. i forgot to mention mine is actually street legal.. and i am wrong, its not a pocket bike, its one of those off-road 50's :) .. and thats what i use to ride to work.. :D .
I really dont see the appeal of them - they look uncomfortable as hell (insert picture of wump on mini-bicycle here)
Robocop 01-01-2006, 07:48 PM They're just fun toys.

silence :x
NewToTheForum 01-02-2006, 08:26 PM ummm, they're just toys, like gokarts. It's 100% illegal on all public roads. Just like ever other thing on the road, it has to be registered to be used on streets.
I would never drive one. Seriously, what would you do if some guy in a real motorcycle drives next to you, and every girl out there see's you. Lol, you'll look like a 6year old with one of those bikes with plastic motor cycle panels.
BoostedBoogie 01-02-2006, 08:32 PM it's all personal preference. what if you were driving your bmw on the road, and some ferrari pulled up next to you?
believe it or not, most professional pocketbike riders ARE motorcycle riders.
