Looking for a good independent shop in the Austin, Texas area for a pre-buy inspection. One that is familiar with E36 weak areas is a plus.

I have meet both Terry and Bill Kim of Soulspeed. I would have no issues with either of them doing a PPI.

If you can get either one of those two , you're set.

I can vouch for sayther, soulspeed, and paul's motorwerks (over by lake travis)...all 3 are fine, but bill kim at soulspeed has the best rates and is very trustworthy and competent.

terry sayther is pretty good, but they do have their moments. talk to ralph, he is a stand up guy.

this depends on who you talk to. terry himself can come off as a somewhat arrogant guy a lot of times, but i think it's just his personality. after a couple of mishaps that happened at their shop regarding my car he did the best he could to correct it without any additional charges to me. their car dropoff policy and unwillingness to give rides after 12PM leaves a lot to be desired, however.
