Just added the M5 to my policy. I will be paying roughly the same amount for it (a 2002 model year car) as I am for my 95 M3. :redspot :redspot :redspot

I was in a minor fender bender on Main St in Downtown Dallas in October. Now that my policy is renewing, my insurance company tried to raise my rate by $1600 a year! The total repair cost of the other vehicle: $700; my vehicle: $0. Insurance sucks. I've paid over $25,000 in insurance premiums over the last 10 years. During that time I've had a hail damage claim for $1000 and this accident for $700. I've covered my claims with my premiums by a factor of 14. And they want to raise my rates by $1600!?! :mad

wtf man - that's as much in a year as your car is worth?!?! Do you have a $100 ded. or something?

My Nissan is $400/yr(no collision since the coverage cost more in 1 yr than a shell would cost), and my M3... ugh - it's not as bad as some people's here, but it still hurts to pay that bad boy. Having 4 doors helps though!

I'm adjusting back to it. I'm originally from St. Louis, but it still isn't Dallas.

No one posts in the Great Plains forum. I've tried a couple times, but can't find any locals. The St. Louis chapter of the BMW CCA is cool, though. STL is hosting BMW Gateway Tech again in 2006. The whole DFW crew should road trip up!
