Hi,

I would like to know what is the best way to keep these things clean and long lasting

1. Outer body paint
2. Chrome
3. Wheels
4. Glasses / Mirrors
5. Light covers
6. Leather
7. Wood trim
8. Dash board
9. Carpet

Have I left anything?

I saw lots of cleaning solutions available for each and every one of the above. I dont want to jump in to something when I can learn so much before hand from experienced people.

Thanks
Arun

I vote you look into the "show and shine" forum...they've got topics galore about what you're saying

I take it out only in the weekends and if it is not rainning. Unless there is a special reason. but when I take it out, is it fun!!!! Probably one of the only ways to keep it clean.... and even this way it gets dirty.

Hahah... I remember when I first tried to keep my bimmer spotless... then I just gave up. but to answer your list... here ya go.

1. Outer body paint-Wax and wash weekly... rain-x the windows.. get some langka (plus touch up paint) for knicks.. and hey, a garage/car cover does wonders. Every once in a while, clay the car too.
2. Chrome-wash, wax, and chrome specfic cleaner
3. Wheels-Good soft scrub brush, wheel cleaner.. tire shine.
4. Glasses / Mirrors-Rain-x for outside, windex inside.. don't use paper towels!! (they streak and left lint, terry cloth is better)
5. Light covers-wash them with the car.
6. Leather-Leatherique (do a search... it's the best stuff around, but it's pricey... if you wanna go cheap, go lexol or something like that.)
7. Wood trim-pledge wood cleaner (it's like 4 bucks for that stuff the you use to dust)
8. Dash board-Armorall wipes
9. Carpet-Carpet mats.. if that fails, Bule corral carpet cleaner works very well for me and it's like 4 bucks in any autoparts store.

I hope that helps.
