I'm looking for replacement thrust arms/bushings for my '94 E34 530i. I ran across these on eBay, what do you think? A favorite mechanic of mine tells me not to buy them, that they're probably crap, going by price alone. Are they really that bad, for $99?

There's a thread on bimmer.info E34 board about this, they apparently are crap as they lasted a very short time on a board members' car, and others have had trouble with them wearing out too quickly as well.
I'd stick with Lemforder for that particular part- if the seller is not sure of the brand- move on to another seller, there IS a difference.

What he said.
People have had problems... the whole set-up died on a couple of people in about a year or so. My lemforder (stock...oem) set up, which is only a year old now is still as solid as a rock. Sure, it cost me about $100 for a single arm + bushing.... But, at least it'll last a lot longer. :D
