I am very interested.
I remember that one of the supporting vendors...bimmer325ia had been asked if he could get one going in the past. I bought mirrors from him and the quality is great. Maybe he would still be interested?

yea thats the problem I noticed with the for sale section as well. You blink once and they are gone. Plus sedan moldings seem to go WAY faster than coupe ones.

Some advantages to buying in a group buy vs. forsale section:
1- Cheaper price (hopefully)
2- Integrity (moldings and badges will be new)
3- Reliability (scamming is not unheard of in the for sale section)

Anyhow, I contacted Bimmer325ia and this is what he responded with:
Hi , We had make this molding, but it is not ready for marketing. Maybe It can be readied next month.

So does anyone know any sellers who might carry moldings? Or we can wait for Chris.

Anyways lets start making a list, and if we get pricing you can add/remove yourself as you feel necessary. (Also mcw323is and e fanatic please clarify if you need it for a sedan or coupe I wasnt sure...)

Since these are OEM parts, I guess you could also try Bimmerzone? They're also a supporting vendor.

You guys might want to also get ahold of SteveFazek, he did the GB on mouldings I set up a couple months ago. $260 shipped for mouldings, Motorsport badges (in addition to the ///M badges that come with the retrofit), and all clips and rubbers.

Ok Ill contact steve and turner. I originally contacted BavAUto because there price was under 200 for the whole kit. This is what they responded with today:

Bavarian Autosport would certainly be interested in being the supplier in a group buy. I think the best way to come up with an agreeable price is to have you get the prices from the other vendors first. After we know what the best price they are offering is, we can try to match or discount the price further. I cannot guarantee anything at this point, but once we know what other vendors can do, we can look into it further.

Let me know if this suitable.

So I think they are good to go for the moldings, but I think we should STILL contact other vendors to see if they will compete for price.

What do you guys think?

PS: IM still tryign to find us some badges! I'm pretty sure I can get the motorsport ones, but we might have to ditch the idea of the M-Technic and ///M

*EDIT* The kits from Bavauto come with everything needed to install (clips/condoms..etc).. NO NEED TO BUY ANY ADDTIONAL HARDWARE!!!

So do we know how much this is going to cost? I read earlier in the thread it could be around 190 and 30 for the set of badges. Is that the final price? Cuz if the price is right I'm in. My mouldings are shot and I could use some M moldings.

Settle down...

I believe that the condoms come on the clips so you don't need to purchase those separatly. IIRC there is something like 20 clips total for sedan M mouldings. So just get 25 and you'll be fine. You can get the pn# at the dealer or on realoem.com, you could also just pull your mouldings off the car and count the holes ;)

calm down man, seriously. It's not that hard to get an answer to your question. There are 22 clips on my sedan; driver and front pass have 5 on each door, 2 rear doors have 4 on each and the little pieces behind the rear doors have 2 clips each. Here is a pic of the back of my old moldings, a few clips broke upon removal:

I would order 25 to be safe just in case you break one or two.

my LTW badges just came today :redspot they look pretty good i can't wait to get these moldings, any updates yet?

Do they look like they are OEM or are they replicas? How is the overall quality?
