I cannot believe that some 2001 e46M3's are going as low as $25,000-27,000 at autotrader. In 2 years, they may meet the e30M3 price range.

e30M3's in mint condition sell at $14-20,000.

e36M3 as low as $7,500-8,000

Perhaps because of the mass production of the e36 and e46's?

Only pristine examples of the E30 M3 sell above 15G. Personally, I find it funny that they have gotten so expensive here in the USA when you can buy the standard E30 M3 in Europe for the equivalent of 5-7G all day long.

Also, only trashed E36 M3's drop below 10G. Sadly, there appears to be many neglected E36 M3's on the market.

I wouldn't say only pristing examples bring over 15k. A nice car in better than average shape will go for 15, whereas a pristine car with low miles will bring 20k+.

As for the prices in Europe, you have to remember that only 5000 were US spec, whereas almost 3 times that number were euro spec.

2 E30 M3s sold for $5500 and $6000 locally. Both of them needed LOTS of work and woudl have surpassed the $15k range when finished.

I sold my E30 M3 for 26,000 recently. Of course it was perfect with only 26,000 miles. Thats definitely why they bring high dollars, because only 4,996 were sent to the us as opposed to millions for the other cars. They will always have good resale value in good condition, and there is very few left.

Here in europe you def. can't buy a nice E30 M3 for 5-7k euro's you need at least 12k euro's here in europe so about $14k and only about 2 times as much M3's are here in europe, but I have never ever seen a M3 E30 in real life on the road except my own M3 E30 so........here it is very rare too

Most e30M3 owners are within the $10k range, some like to hear the $15k rule but it does not really apply if you are patient and look for good opportunities:)

yeah but it is hard to find a sub 100k miler in good condition for 10k, you really need 15k for that or even more
