Hi,

I'm ready to apply Zaino ZFX & Z2.. Normally I apply too much wax and spend a lot of time/elbow grease in removing it! Per instructions, I apply 3 dime size drops on applicator! How much of an area does that cover on a Z3? I was thinking that would completely cover the hood with next 3 drops covering both doors and front bumper/spoiler and the last 3 drops covering rear fenders, trunk and rear bumper. Does this sound reasonable?

Thanks for inputs..

Well,

I'm a Zaino junkie... lol

The first thing you want to do before applying the liquid to your applicator pad is to first spray it with the Zaino lube (if you bought that stuff).. This helps when you goto spread the Zaino polish over the metal surfaces, it makes the application glide over the metal instead of getting stuck to the metal, if you know what I mean.

I'm not sure how much area any sized drop will cover on any car, but when you do apply it, it should at least cover 1 body panel. A Z3 is smaller than most cars, so I am only assuming you should have no problem covering single body panels with a few drops of Zaino.

It goes on easy and comes off easy. You can do the whole car (coat it), then by the time you are done applying the polish to the last possible area or body panel, you are now ready to go back and start removing the Zaino from the body.

I've never had the time to let my car sit over night, or the 24 hrs as Zaino recommends before removing the polish, only because my car is a daily driver. But, even after an hour or so, you can remove the product with no problems at all. I've applied the product in 100% humidity and also removed it with no issues at all.

I have not tried the ZFX yet, ony because that is one of their newest products and was not available when I purchased my last set of Zaino supplies.

The wax, wash, etc will go a long way, you'll love the results when it is done! The more Zaino layers you add, the better the paint looks, it will have much depth and a very nice mirror shine to it. Even with a single application it will look nice, but if you are able to do more than one application, it only gets better.

If you do it right, the next time you wash your car your jaw will hit the floor. The stuff is amazing! It makes washing the car so easy, and once you get through the initial process (which isn't half as bad as everyone makes it sound) keeping up the wax is extremely easy.

Read the tips/tricks info on zainobros.com .. it's pretty good info.

Let us know how it turns out...

I've been trying to decide which wax to start using, this stuff sounds great.
Abe, is that you from RA? I think I know that yellow M3 behind you there. Seems like the order was reversed shortly after that pic?

hello Zaino vets: How difficult is it to clay the car before the first application? I've never clayed bf and read at another thread that claying can be a b*tch; and that paint surfaces can get messed up when clayed by rookies...
