Hi,

Since I seem not to be able to post any pictures, I put them up on my web site. Anyone interested can click on my hompage in my signature, I think the link will be obvious.

Rick,

Congrats on the M3! Get that sucker lowered ASAP, the fender gap on new models is so high.

I cannot believe you sold that 993--that is MY dream car. You should be shot :nono

Yea, I cannot believe I sold the 993TT either. Probably the worst car decision I ever made.

Can you get it lowered and not void the warranty ? If so who would you use ?

Any modification you do voids that part of the car and any part related to your modification. You can lower it fairly simply by installing a set of H&R or Eibach springs. Normally cost $150-225 plus labor.

Make nice with your service manager and he'll help make sure your warranty is not voided....

But, springs won't void your warranty anyway...

I used Eibachs, lowered the car 1/2" in the front and 9/10" in the rear...kind of levels it off without making it look too low.

Who does this kind of work. Can a dealership ?

Yep..but they'll want an arm and a leg for it. Find a local shop that specializes in german cars...hopelfully you'll find one that specializes in bmw AND performance.

I second the Eibach advice. They give a little less lowering than H&R and are designed for use with stock dampers. If you want lower go with Koni and H&R. If you want it still lower and higher performance (and $$) go with a TC Kline True Match with 400# all around.

Search for Eibach and H&R on here for pics and you can see the differences.
