Who all is going? I will be there for my first race. I have never ran Infineon but I am hoping there will be a Friday test day so I can get some track time before a race. I have watched a lot of videos and played some video games to hopefully get me up to speed somewhat. I was just wondering who else is going to be there. I ordered my new helmet and HANS device so I am ready. :D

I hope to be joining you a little later in the year. I'll be submitting my package after the first of the year.

You'll love Sears Point. It's a fun track. A lot of curb ridin'.

I will be there if it's not raining!! If it is raining, I will still be there, just a little tipsy from all the wine tasting (and yes, I will be spectating instead of driving).

Praying for a dry February!!

Same with me, if its raining I will be enjoying some of the local wine and probably just take some pictures. Hopefully it won't rain! :D

You West coast guys are huge pansies when it comes to the wet stuff aren't ya? Give me an open top car, some heavy rain, and some good tires...there's nothing like rain streaking off the windscreen of your helmet at 140mph and hydroplaning when you shift into 5th gear!!

You should hear us pansies down here in SoCal when we have to unload our cars in the morning in sub-50 degree temps! You'd think our fingers were going to fall off! Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I'm hoping to be there for my first CCA race in a new race car....albeit not completely finished. But race cars are always works in progress, right? I've run it before in my Spec Miata, but this might be different somehow <grin>.

Looking for a test day as well....Infineon is running a test day on Thursday. I think that LS has some lapping days on Thursday and Friday as well. I might do one of those.

Can't let a Carolinan get away with this kind of comment, can we??

"You West coast guys are huge pansies when it comes to the wet stuff aren't ya?"

How can we make this right?

; )

P.S. Bryan shoot me an e-mail when you get a chance -- had a question about a POC race-vid of yours...

Mike, I just looked at some vids/pics on your website. IS your windshield cracked all the way across? And if so, they allow that over there?

You planning to move to Mod class soon? ;)

I love driving in the rain. I will be there supporting Byron. I will bring my gear. Please let me drive oh please. Sears in the rain is easy now. Back in the day to get up into turn 1 the track used part of the drag strip. It used to be crazy in the rain. It is a piece of cake now

Yeah, Dale's going to show me the fast way around the track. Rain or not....

"Mike, I just looked at some vids/pics on your website. IS your windshield cracked all the way across? And if so, they allow that over there?

The crack doesn't go all the way across -- about a foot to go... Then it's Lexan time. I've been a CM for awhile -- far too light for HP (yet far too heavy for a true CM...)

Still fun chasing Holder, et. al...

Should be a fun race; Dale is right -- Sears is fun in the rain now, though there are still some nasty spots (b/t 4 and the Carousel, 8A transition, etc.)

And since nobody's giving B. Watts any grief, here goes:

Bryan, you wouldn't know Sears Point from Sears Roebuck... Puh-lease.

; )

OK, someone can come up with something better -- it's too early to be creative...

See everyone soon...

Hey Mike-

Nice to see you onboard.

You can avoid doing cut-n-paste by using the "quote" button at the bottom of the post you want to reply to. Such as little Bryan pickin' on us sun drenched left coast kids ;) Oh wait, I live in duck country. I should be surprised by sunny days :rolleyes

New car number and decal package coming soon...... #07 IP

Hey Jon, I'll come up and crew for you with the caveat that if it rains and you sit it out, I'll bring rain tires and race the car in the wet! What do you say?? :redspot

Not ALL of us! I was disappointed that it didn't rain at the Thunderhill 25 last month!

I think that is an interesting prospect since I think it was you in November at Buttonwillow you were driving Ghafouri's IP car and rocketed past me in my IP car. I felt like such a slow turd :(

Mike,

So glad to have you on board again. While it was fun chasing you in the GT3, it will be more so in the M3.

Anybody else thinking about going?

I'll be signing up soon.

(BTW, I'm in no way offended by Bryan's comment - I am a self-admitted "rain wuss" :) Besides, I spent 7+ years as a competitive swimmer so I've done my share of "wet")

BOOOOOOOOOOOO, shoot i wouldn't let anybody drive my car in the rain either. Only Rob, if he builds them he is allowed to crash it LOL
I will see you up at Sears for sure. If it rains we can play with my Z06 in the rain.:evil2 What a handful.
