I've heard that people with tvs and all that nonsense loose power in their cars because their battery can't handle all the extra applicances. Is there something you need to add so that you dont have issues with power while using these things?

For what you are talking about adding, you will not lose a thing (Ok technically you will, but trust me, you will not notice it).
There has to be something with a lot of current draw to affect the power of the engine.

Ya sometimes when they install a big audio system in a lil car like a honda or something and whenever theres a BASS BEAT the cars interior and exterior lights would dim and stuff. The way they overcome that is to use a very high capacity capacitor. But that only works when there is something that uses it for like a second. With a tv its always on so it would drain the capacitor in 10 seconds. I dont know but maybe there are aftermarket alternators that make more power?:95

Well, from what I understand from one of the underdrive pulley manufacturers (can't recall which one), the E36 alternator is actually supplying more power than is necessary for the existing accessories.

However once you start exceeding that...ie with big ol amps etc etc...The stock alternator is sorely lacking.
And Spubar:
And I'm still not clear if you meant *electrical* power...or actual *engine* power?
I'm still a wee bit hungover at 2:16 pm here...so bear with me

Im talking about strictly electrical power.
