View Full Version : EBAY Clears...
snaybird1000 12-14-2005, 11:21 PM Are these the "off-brand" clears? Would these do fine on my car?

sdwhitney 12-15-2005, 09:24 AM Those are not the Euro Crystals like mine, but for $49.....What's to lose.
Hella is the Brand that is wanted, but it costs. My Euro Clears are for sale and I am getting the Hella smoked Tails.
I would have asked more than 50 though....
ILoveMPower 12-15-2005, 09:46 AM I got some off ebay from procarparts.com. They are DEPO's, pretty good quality. For $100 shipped, I would definitely recommend them.

Mine's on the right (obviously).

Nope. :D
I love my Hella smoked tails :redspot
FYI;
You are going to LOVE these! They were SO easy to install; no fault codes, perfect fit, no issues.
The total time it took to install was around 20 minutes.

20 minutes? That will break into my martini time...

It would have been faster, but I dropped on of the nuts, and it took a few minutes to find it. :mad

20 minutes is nothing...and
Since you're working from inside the trunk, you can actually have your drink right there, an arms reach away... while you put them in...
trust me, I did it (and they're only a little crooked.)
LJSE34 12-15-2005, 05:04 PM lol, I installed my depos while having a cold one. The weather seal one of them was loose so I used some weather proof glue (the yellow stuff) to glue it back on. I didn't leave enough time to let it dry and now you can see some of that dried up yellow stuff on the inner edges of the taillights. Wonder how it would have turned out if I was having a martini instead...
snaybird1000 12-15-2005, 08:02 PM Sweet. Thanks for the input. Anything I need to worry about? Wear easily? Breaking easily?
SC David 12-15-2005, 08:28 PM My depo rears had fitment issues. I ended up breaking the left one trying to force the brake light in. It's got a crack running down from the turn signal. Not very big or noticeable, but left me with a bad impression of their products. Still, for the price, I could buy 3 more sets and still have paid less than it is for the OEM's

Yeah. I'm just concerned with not buying the real deal.

well, you'd figure that your car came with original HELLA's that lasted this long and some(mine; 14-15 years), so why not just invest in the OEM? the bulb might even outlive the depos...

e34west 12-16-2005, 12:59 PM I also bought the DEPO's, from seller ivm1. I wasn't expecting perfection, but I was very pleased with the fit, ease of installation, and everything works as it should (amber bulbs included!). I also bought some front clears, and the seals were kinda sucky... peeling off in a couple of spots. I'll have to re-seal them with clear RTV. You get what you pay for I suppose. Obviously if you want the best, Hella is the way to go. But for the price, I'd still go with DEPO again.
