Uh, what was your question :stickoutt
Abrahams/101CM 12-14-2005, 10:10 PM Shhhhhhhhhhh!
Steve J. 12-14-2005, 10:10 PM IBTL, this will be in the specialty forum shortly ;)
Those numbers seem a tad low.
Abrahams/101CM 12-14-2005, 10:24 PM Well...with a fresh stock bottom end - that's about what you will make with this trick head.
Still nearly as fast as the fully worked CM S52 E36's...
Great tight motor to be sold at a reasonable price.
Ready to bolt in - complete with full exhaust.
Is a great motor for someone needing a affordable race motor.
All info posted can be verified.
Thanks for your observation.
I think this post adds value to the Track fourm and should remain.... :)

Those numbers seem a tad low.
That's what I was thinking. I see higher numbers with my US. 3.2 with 62,000 miles stock bottom end, stock head , Schrick, OBD1 manifold, 3.5 HFM, AA Headers, SW.
SlammedE30 12-14-2005, 10:32 PM The dyno numbers do seem a bit low, but keep in mind they were measured on a Mustang Dyno. Good luck with the sale!

Steve J. 12-14-2005, 10:37 PM Cyntec does read pretty low, about 8-10% from the numbers I have seen compared to the same car on a dynojet.
You upgrading to the mighty S54?

yea it does. A car w/ an rms stg. 2 supercharger dynoed at around 280-290rwhp there. Your numbers are good for their dyno and a NA motor. good luck with the sale.

more like 20% low
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 01:22 AM Depends on which dyno you are comparing it to. Going off the numbers I got from chuck, and recent dynojet numbers, it was about 8-10% low.
Can't just make a generic comparison.
m3ltw98 12-15-2005, 01:48 AM Its 20% low compared to the dyno at ERT
332 RustBucket 12-15-2005, 09:51 AM Its 20% low compared to the dyno at ERT
Isn't the ERT High tho? I thought I remember a dyno out of there that was VERY high...

16.66% To be exact... same day Cyntex to Dynojet ;)
vjlax18 12-15-2005, 10:09 AM Isn't the ERT High tho? I thought I remember a dyno out of there that was VERY high...
Not the last time I was there. :dunno
332 RustBucket 12-15-2005, 10:17 AM Not the last time I was there. :dunno
Gotcha, might be getting it confused with another place.
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 11:10 AM 16.66% To be exact... same day Cyntex to Dynojet ;)
Which Dynojet?
vjlax18 12-15-2005, 11:17 AM I don't remember the name of the place, something like RRT or something.
qwickm3 12-15-2005, 11:19 AM You upgrading to the mighty S54?
No but he does have something special coming:evil2
BTW Andrew you are on my S%^t list, and you know why:mad
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 01:26 PM Is it still a CM motor? M44 turbo!?
Also, vjlax, you meant ert? ;) lol
sunir 12-15-2005, 01:51 PM cyntex does read low but Chuck and others think it's a good dyno for tuning so they take cars there...Andrew whatchya puttin' in there once u sell this motor:devillook
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 01:54 PM Just because a dyno reads lower then another does not mean much...all it means is you don't get bragging rights. But if the dyno is more accurate/precise then you can brag when you win the race knowing you have more "real" power and not having to win the dyno race ;)
Dynojet, mustang, dynomite, autodyn, etc are all quality. Just because some give a different reading does not mean the car actually makes less power.
Only real way to use Dynos as a selling point is if you ave a very controlled environment, or if you want to use peak HP numbers at the crank for selling, an engine dyno should be used.

or you can brag that you won win less motor. :D

I got to admit that is a good feeling :stickoutt
techno550 12-15-2005, 07:45 PM Is it still a CM motor? M44 turbo!?
Also, vjlax, you meant ert? ;) lol
M44 turbo would be DM.... and stomp every CM car out there.
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 07:47 PM Mike...get to it, we're all waiting!
sunir 12-15-2005, 08:16 PM doesn't forced induction put it in some other mod class than D or C mod..like baybe A or B mod I'd think...there was a supercharged 540 V8 in a full tube framed e36 race car at Mosport (Peter Botsinis' car) in '04 that was classed in S mod...
m3ltw98 12-15-2005, 08:25 PM forced induction means you increase your engine size 150%. I think the M44 is 1.8l so it would be around 2700cc w. the FI. Botsanis was in SM because his front end was tube framed and because he ran a jericho type trans.
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 08:27 PM Yea the M44 with a turbo is DM.
Lots of threads recently on turbo CR cars...but noone has done one yet and been successful (cough mike cough, lets go)
sunir 12-15-2005, 08:45 PM whoa M44-T in DM...that'll rip up fo sure mah homies!:alright
Steve J. 12-15-2005, 09:17 PM Who want to put the new Bugati/Vw 1000hp 7spd setup in an E30!? C'mon, we'll call it Super Dooper Mod class.
techno550 12-15-2005, 11:00 PM Yea the M44 with a turbo is DM.

I don't have the budget to go club racing at the moment. If I did, I'd be there already.
My 2.5L turbo has done quite well on track at the random track day events its been to thus far. It's making more than your average built 3.2... and is a bone stock (stock head bolts, stock head gasket, etc...) M50B25TU running on pump gas. So there is no question in my mind if similar power can be done with even a stock M44.
So if someone wants to give me a job in the ATL area paying (average annual club racing budget) more than what i'm getting now.... :)
