This is the smg transmission. You can shift but can you just put it in drive and drive like its fully auto. like if u were in traffic and just wanted to give it gas and go you could put it in drive and go?

Well, if you’re asking if it moves forward by its self like an auto, the answer is "No". It’s exactly like a stick but with no clutch, so it stays in place if you’re not giving it gas and it’s not in gear. If you’re at a stop its like it’s in neutral. Auto mode just simply shifts for you, give it gas, and the clutch will engage on its own, and you go. Hope that makes sense and helps.
