Well, the metro boys have decided to get together to grill out, grub out, and show off the rides. Redrum77 has been kind enough to lend his home and his grill for the festivities this time round. I have volunteered to be the humble chef for the evening. Bring some cash for food and drinks. We will decide on the meal of the evening once everyone arrives and pitches in. So here are the details and the roster so far.

WHEN: Saturday, December 10th
WHERE: PM Redrum77, PJ325i or myself (BimmerBoyZ3) for directions.
TIME: Plan on meeting at Redrum's place around 5-6. Dinner will be a little later as I usually dont get off till 6, although Im gonna try to sneak out early.

Remember: Bring money if you want to eat. Again, we will decide on the meat once everyone arrives and pitches in.

It actually looks like garbage now...scuffed up from a hit and run someone did on me and the top is falling apart. Plus it needs to be washed and needs new emblems. Too bad all my money is going to holiday shopping and pending insurance.

Well forums were down for most of the week. It had been talked about a lot in the South Carolina thread and I was gonna post a new thread the day the forums went down. They didnt come back up until yesterday, so I was forced to post last minute and pray for the best.

Im sure this will be more than a one time thing and hopefully next time we will have adequate time to make the thread and go from there. I was a little bummed about the 1 day thing too, but with the forums going down, gotta take what you can get.

Next time we will plan ahead a lot more and hopefully you can make it because I really want a ride in the supercharged penis mobile! :buttrock

Well, its 1am and I just got home from hanging with the local BMW guys.

Meet was a lot of fun. For the most part, I knew the guys with us, but it was nice to meet a few new faces. Dinner seemed to go well for everyone so I guess that means I did a good job. For those that missed it, heres the basic rundown of the events for the evening.

I arrived to a few of the guys playing GT4. Oh hell yea. So after Miguel was stomping everyone, I had to get on there and lay down the law. Sorry Miguel. Next time I will bring my memory card and we can load up my cars and run. After that the demand for dinner was high so I began grilling. After Miguel tried to set his house on fire, and then watched me pick up hot ashes with my hands, we began cooking. My assistant, PJ, and I grilled up some steaks and hamburgers. Miguel came through with some fries and we had a good little meal that everyone seemed to enjoy. A few other guys showed up and we started BSing. Miguel had a headlight out so a few of the guys were kind enough to lend a bulb and change it for him. We are still teaching Miguel how to be a car guru. :stickoutt In due time.

After that, we decided we needed to ride out, so we decided on Harbison. On the way to harbison was pretty fun. First we ran into a 6 car wreck. I learned that cars and fences arent good, jeeps hatches fall off during wrecks, Yukons arent as strong as I figured, and that cars randomly appear 100 ft down the road away from the wreck still damaged. After that we get on the interstate for a few fun runs. We got interupted by a cop briefly and then it was back to the antics, which included a few runs between Miguel and Mario and then some 2 wide on the entrance/exit ramp. Once we get into Harbison we are there shortly before Mario has started mackin on a ho. So we BS for a short time before being forced to leave... We get gas and eventually decide to head to the waffle house where we try to fit a lot of people in a few spaces. After that we headed to PJs house to see how bad we all are at Enthusia and just some good ole BSing. And from there everyone went their seperate ways. It was a fun little meet and we plan on doing it again on Jan 14th. This time PJ has volunteered to host and I guess I will cook again, but I will require a new assistant.

It was a good time. I am better at Enthusia than GT4, which is sad, 'cause I'm bad at both! We were talkin a lot, and it seems that the conversation always came back to "blah blah blah motor swap". Anyway, I'm lookin forward to next month, it was good to see everyone again, hopefully we'll get an even bigger turn out next time.

If we doing steaks and hamburgers again . . . I'll pick em up Friday Night and marinate them so we can just slap em on the grill. We need some bratwurst or some dogs too :D

We might wanna come up with a little menu or something . . . So we won't have to make two runs to the store. . .

About that meet in Concord...I know there's a Supra meet in Charlotte that same day, and a Carolina Rides lunch over at Carolina Wings in Irmo. In other words, there's a lot going on that day. I'm already in for the lunch here in Irmo, so I won't be headed up to Concord or Charlotte. If any of you wants to stop by, we're meeting up around 2ish at the Carolina Wings in Irmo, that's the one right next to the Lizards Thicket. There's a list of about 20-30 people signed up already over on Carolina Rides.
