yeah you can turbo s14's, but the price that it costs to do it is extremely expensive

You can turbo anything. The S14 is just a pump, and you can force air into any pump, it's not in any way exclusive.

yea man not that it would make any sense but if u wanted to u could turbo a ride-on lawnmower as long as u have proper fueling and c/r its possible on anything

My god that car is so freaking gorgeous!! I wish I had one of these, to be honest I just come into the E30 M3 forum to look at pics of the greatest car ever built. And congrats on the boobs, only like half the people I have ever met have them.

m10's and m20's accept turbos well. m42's not so well (but can be done)

the s14 is based off the formula version of the m10, dont know how different it is that a regular m10 but i would assume that it would accept a turbo just as well (if not better)

The m10, m20, m30 make great engines to turbo. The s14, s38 are too high strung and prone to detonation. I spent 4 years trying to get my Dinan turbo M5 to run right.

I agree with what you said, but i used to have a pic of an e30 s38 turbo making like 800+hp. I wish I could find that car.

I find that hard to believe... The m10 is SOHC and the s14 is DOHC, making their top ends completely different.

believe it. It's based off the bottom end though: they share similar blocks.

The M10 and S14 blocks are nearly identicle. With some modification and the lining up of oil journels the S14 head will fit on the M10 block. Why do you think us M10 guys go for the S14 crank? The M10 block in Formula 1 made upwards of 1300hp in qualifying trim, although it is believed to be more than 1500hp since the dyno only measured to 1300hp and it pegged the dyno. Thats with 1.5L and a HUGE turbo

Keep in mind IIRC the s14s compression ratio is 11:1, which means like 2 psi will send a rod through your hood.

Ive looked at turboing s14s, its basically a big waste of money. As if its not spendy enough replacing s14 parts every day, putting a turbo on it will mean you will have to readjust your valves hourly.... :P

The crazy part is, from the pictures I saw of the turbo they used... it's not as gargantuan as you might expect. The basically just took a good sized turbo and designed it to spin at extremely high revs to make 5.5bar
