Im limited to these brands because I have a friend that works at best buy and I can get a 50% discount on amplifiers made by these companies. I know their are better companies and better amps out there but this is all they carry. out of all the brands I mentioned which company produces the best amplifier?n

To be honest....I would save up and wait. I know that the discount is quite enticing (I've got a friend that gets accomodation from Circuit City all the time) but in this case. I think you would be better served by getting something that you really want and can grow with rather than getting something for right now.

As an alternative. You could also purchase used equipment for the same prices. I recently purchased an older a/d/s pq20 for the new price of a sony xplod multichannel amp. The a/d/s, while an older design totally BLOWS the amps you listed, as well as many others, out of the water in terms of sound quality and build. Good luck
Just my opinion of course.

Given those choices, I'd go with Kenwood. Jay

Yamaha has been in the car audio game in limited numbers for a while now. I remember seeing some of their amps as far back as 90-91 while shopping systems for my pathfinder. They're not a really big player here in the states...but more overseas.

Out of those, I would go with Kenwood also. My friend has a new model Kenwood 600 watt amp and I htink it was well wrth the money.
