Hey guys, I just did a complete price out of my upcoming Car Stereo Install-

My goals are to have Full, crisp sound across all ranges. while I would like to be able to feel my base somewhat, I don't want to thump at all. I also need every oz of trunk space, so a box is out of the question.

I currently have a Rockford Fosgate Deck (MP3/CD) powering stock rear 4 inchers in back and a Focal Glass Component system up front (gift from a friend).

My plan is as follows -

Replace 4 inchers in back with Pioneer TSA1767s. I understand that I'm going to have to modify the mount a bit, I'm a good craftsman, and I've already confirmed that 6 3/4's will fit back there (and still be covered by the stock grilles).

Build 2 6 x 9 mounts into the rear interior panels (and in the process re-build and re-finish them, because they're bubbling like a bitch) and stick Pioneer TSA6995s in them.

The whole system is going to be powered by a Pioneer GM-X564 4-channel Amp (50 watt/ch RMS, 120watt/ch Peak)

powerAcoustik 7 channel pre-amp EQ to tune the whole system.

Front Focal's powered By the Deck's amp (yeah, I know, I'm wasting the capability of those beautiful speakers, eventually I'll put the front's on their own 2-way)

I've heard good things about pioneer for price/sound Quality, that's why I'm sticking mostly with them. Any other brands I should look at?

Basically this will give me two 6's in back for midrange, the 6 x 9's in the side for the low-end (they get fantastic reviews for their base reproduction), and the Focal's up front to lead the highs. It reduces my wiring requirements to just 2 lines from the front (power/RCA), and overall seems to be the best mix of price/performance/sound quality for what I'm looking for...

The total price comes to 336.90, 385 shipped (I'm doing all labor)

Comments... suggestions?

am I an idiot?

thanks in advance-
