I think I have blown the Right Kick Pannel Speaker & the rear deck speaker in my car (97 M3 Coupe ) grrrrrrr. It has the HK system in it now but the new head unit had a lil too much for them I guess. What do you recomend replacing them with. What size are the rear speakers? Thanx JJ

Front kickpanel speakers are 5.25". A popular option is to replace them with 2-way components and leave your current "midranges" in the door, disconnected. If you are looking for the easiest route, 5.25 coaxials are the least hassle.

With some metal cutting you can fit 6.5s down there, which would open the possiblity to 3-way components in front.

Fitting tweeters and mids in the door, however can take some work.

The rears on the HK system are 6X9s with an offboard tweeter, unlike the standard rears which are 4T with an offboard tweeter. Not sure if standard off the shelf 6X9s will fit in the stock enclosures.

And, as I'm finishing this, it seems this ought to be bumped to the audio forum...
