From Ross Lampert;

from Wynne Smith, Executive Director of BMW CCA.

"Sunbelt Chapter President Austin Weismann succumbed to fatal injuries in a single car accident in the Chicagoland area. Living his dream in working with BMW's after graduation from the BMW STEP Program training, he worked for two years at Jackie Cooper BMW in Oklahoma City, before moving to Chicago in September 2005, to work at Don Dethlefsen's "The Werk Shop", lovingly performing BMW service and restoration work.

"Austin's family, BMW friends, club members and fellow enthusiasts are invited to attend a Wake and Memorial Celebration of Life at the Old Germany Restaurant in Choctaw, Oklahoma, at 3pm on Saturday December 3, 2005. Everyone is invited to wear any BMW related attire and bring your favorite Austin stories to share with his friends."

Naturally, I'll have more on Austin in the next issue of the Sonnenflecke. At this time there's no information on where or whether to send flowers or where to make a donation in Austin's name, if you wish to do so. If I get any more information, I'll pass it along.

I will keep this thread up to date with any further information. If you have pictures, stories, etc., I can pass them along to Ross. Thanks and keep Austin's family and friends in your prayers.
Lisa and I plan on heading to Choctaw from Tulsa on Saturday, probably around 1:30.
