Well if any of you didnt know i blew a head gasket a couple months back. i was orignally gonna just replace the hg and keep that engine. Well i really wanted to get a new once since current engine had 172k on it. Really wanted 3.0 swap, but pops was against it. Well i took the head off and took it to a shop...was warped .005 and had a small crack. 500 buck estime to fix. Next day stevefazak was selling an imported engine with onluy 18k for 1500 bux so i snatched it up. Now my question is if anyone has ever done a swap and could give me some tips.

Congrats!! I have a buddy who does rebuilds and has removed and installed every BMW engine you could ever imagine, several times over... I'll see if I can get him to jump in here and give you some help. :)

another M50 with 18k.

its a m50 w/ 18k on the clock. Its all there except starter,ac,alternator....

Label wires. Lots of pictures to document. Have friends help you from start to finish, not in bits and parts. That was the biggest problem when we swapped the engine in my friend's talon.
