Too bad the Treo 650 sucks...I had one for a while...it's a great phone as far as features but mine always used to shut off on me randomly. I sold it to some sucker that I met at Starbucks. :lol Look up reviews, you'll see it's a common problem...

I have worked with the Treo 650 for the past 3 months. It's a great PDA, but I can't say much for the phone part. It's a phone, right? The thing crashes all the time. I can hardly answer phone calls without the signal breaking. If you want the Treo 650, make sure you get the Windows based one instead. The fact that PalmOne has ditched PalmOS says a lot about it.

I've never cared for SE products, and as far as other options, I'm limited. I've currently got an Audiovox SMT-5600, and as far as the Windows Mobile comments being superior, try using it for a while and come back and comment. I love the size of my 5600, hate the windows mobile part.

If you did the latest update you would not have those problems.

I've owned both the Treo600 and 650. Treo 600 was a better phone IMO. The only thing lacking was the screen resolution and the camera. SE makes some of the best products out there...and they kick ass on battery life. I had a T68i when it first came out and I could go a week without charging it...I still have it but I dont use it. That was a sweeet phone....

If you don't mind the size of the phone the Audiovox PPC-6600 is a great phone if you get one that works. The first one I had worked beautifully with no problem. But I fell down a mud hill drunk at Midtown music and destroyed the phone. Ever since then I guess they have been replacing my phone with refurbished phone that keep dying. I have been through 7 of them since August. My other friends have had no problems with theirs. They a sending me the PPC-6700 right now. But, to answer your question which service do you use. I might be able to find you the Treo 650.

I support the Treos for my office, that is why I have one. Overall it is a great phone and PDA. You need to keep up-to-date on the firmware or else you will have problems....with anything. That is why there are firmware upgrades....to fix known issues most of the time.

Robstah - The windows mobile Treo won't be out til first quarter 2006, so we are all stuck with the Palm OS until then. Mine has never crashed and out of the 400 or so I have setup and worked on, maybe 2-3 have actually had an issue where the phone needed replacement.

Again, I'll stress that I am quite leary of the WM version of the phone. My audiovox will "slow" down when I'm using some of the more advanced features of the phone just like any other windows based system, and I can't seem to get it to recover the ram once an app is closed. Takes a while to power cycle, and is generally a slow operating phone. Unless WM5 is going to be heads and tails above the WM3 that I'm currently running, I'd say you'd be better off with the 650 and it's PalmOS.

Cingular isn't that great. We have about 200 650's with Cingular and about 300 with Sprint. Sprint is far superior in everyway regardless of what some of you think.

I am not too intensive on the PDA...meaning I am not abusing the hell out of it with many apps. So far I have no problems and like I said before, I haven't dealt with too many. To me, the 650 is one of the most solid smartphones out there.
