IMO, having both badges is a little much. Either keep the DINAN 7 and remove the 740I or be stealthy and remove the DINAN 7 badge.

I would get rid of the 740i badge as it's just repetive and do what Doug has done...

Nice color by the way! How much is it for the full Dinan kit you have on your car? I think Dental Floss worked between the badge and the car will get it off. You might try a hairdryer first to loosen the glue.

I purchased the car with Dinan already installed. I checked with local licensed Dinan installers and the most reasonable cost for what I have in the car was approx. $4,750.00; BMW dealership quote was almost double. Thanks for the advise on badge removal.

Yep, dental floss does the trick. You will need to remove some residual sticky stuff after that...but it is not hard to do. Mine came off with a small amount of glass cleaner and a cotton towel.

Do you have a serial number badge under the hood from Dinan as well? Should be on the right front side under the hood.

The 740i is shorter by about 6 inches.

G'day guys, the E-38 was a great shape, then based off the E-39 5 series, I loved that car. I have just taken delievery of a BMW 2006 7 Series, its my pride and joy. Beautiful cars, have been buying them for 17 years now and wouldnt change to mercades-benz for the promise of a pension...

If you call or write to Dinan with your serial number they will send you (I think for free...I'm sure you pay the shipping) the cutout adhesive for the back of your existing Dinan badge. You will just need to apply. (double sided sticky)

No badge under the hood. I think you get the badge when you purchase one of the Signature Series.

You have enough points with your mods...PLUS...you can not get the decklid badge without a serial number...unless they go on E-bay and do it the "wrong" way. :shifty

Yes, here is the quote from the Dinan site. You would not want Stage4 without the goodies he added to the car:

"Stage 4 Engine Software is for use with the High Flow Air Mass Meter, Throttle Body and Cold Air Intake, optimizing performance and drivability."
