I have a manual E36 325i with nothing but a Dinan chip and exhaust with 225 rubber on 16" wheels off an E46... I've beat up every 4 & 6 cyl import I can find. I don't know if I have a particularly strong example, but I haven't picked many fights I've lost...

i have some kill stories....some that i can think of right now are

1) 2000 celica that was turboed(FMIC and heard the BOV) with rims and a body kit....he followed me and my friend to a stoplight after the local car show, lined up right next to me and we both had an even launch but thanks to silverstreaks tutorial on drag racing, i had my launch set at 4k, we both took off(i didnt bog at all) and he was at my door all the way through second and his lane ended at about 300ft from the light...he had to change into my lane behind me.....i went on the to freeway and he wanted more...moderate traffic but that didnt matter....

round 2: i was cruising in the middle lane(out of 3) and he passes by me with his hand waving at me...i follow pursuit and get on it...we start weaving back and forth and 3 cars are going the same speed in all 3 lanes....he jumps to the middle lane because he THINKS his lane was faster and i stay in the right lane.....i remember that theres an off ramp coming up that has about 100ft before it actually turns right...i down it to 3rd and jump into the off ramp lane and pass all the cars that were blocking us and there was no chance for him to catch up. i slow down to normal speed and he gives a ricer fly by

i know ill get flamed for this but i know that turboed celica would take me on paper, but in reality i outdrove him and he couldnt drive....i do have a video for the run off the line but ill try and get it from my friend.

2) another one that i remember was on the H3.....me and 4 of my friends were going to a soccer game and an (94-98)integra LS came up next to me and then just took off...i down it to 3rd held it to 6k and shifted to 4th and as i approached 120, i was about 2 car lengths ahead of him. i slowed down to 55 which was the speed limit and he comes flying by...

thanks for reading...theres gotta be more kill stories out there from our E36 325i's

I'd like to think that there are no kills here because the people who drive the 325i are too mature and sensible to street race. That's my excuse, anyway, and I'm sticking to it. :rolleyes

He stepped in the doo,
soiled his shoe,
and then he simply said "F*ck it."

i used to post on dtmpower alot before that forum started to suck, but slightly faster cars i beat in my old 95 325is w/ exhaust, intake were rsx-s, another 93 325i, altima 00', gtivr6 drivers Ed dead even till top end, a4 1.8 and 2.8, integra(s) wrx when the guy couldnt drive firstlol, and a few others..but sad to say my honda prelude with same mods as 325 would most likely destroy the 325..anyway if theres a thread on 3 series losses..ill have a list

Well i got a 328, which are hardly much faster than 325's. key to making your 325 fast is a 318 badge. People think you're a fourbanger, so you get idiots trying to race you.

i beat a srt-4 the other day, but it was entirely a drivers race. I dont even drive that well, he just didn't see oncoming traffic so he had to jump out of the way.

that would work, but most people who would notice its a 318 would notice your exhaust as well, if its stock.

ive beaten a few cars in the 325, such as an automatic mustang GT, every riced out civic and all integras ive raced except one (turbo GSR), and a contreversial race with a c230 kompressor benz. i have raced that guy several times and one time i beat him- but he claimed he wasn't giving it all. my cars too fucked to risk a rematch now.

hmmmm.... so my 325i does have some heat to it.... Like i said..we arent the fastest..but not the slowest either.. and 80% of the racer population happens to be Integra, civic, accord from what i see here in the Bay area cali left AND RIGHT. Giving me MANY chances of kills..... And i rather not have a "318" badge and make my class look even lower. I like the badgeless look but if i get a badge, ill get the "M3" and not race and make my car look more expensive, haha. Most people cant even tell the differences unless they are bimmer fanatics. Trust me. You and I both know it.

I hate BMW owners that have it for the status :rolleyes people like you ruin the BMW name... " just badge it a M3" even that it is no place even close to it.... And make it look more expensice.... :rolleyes ya in you super rich E36........... sorry but they are old and not worth that much... I mean a 99 E36 M3.. 25K. A brand new jeep or a chevy cost that much.... I saw a 318 the other day with one..... what ever do what you want... just my own opnion every one has there own i guess.

EDIT: If you own a 325 just stop reading now

i raced my roomate last winter, he has a 2003 325xi on 18's, clear lights all around, dark tint and a nice system but zero engine mods and i was in my 2002 honda s2000. It was definatly a race not to forget (we were both seniors in high school and we didnt have school that day) I woke up early in the morning (like 11 am!) and a bunch of us met at waffle house. We were all talking crap about who had the fastest car (two other kids.... one had a bullet mustang, the other, his dads new g35 coupe with a 6 speed (his parents were out of town). We argued in a friendly manner for about 45 minutes until we had finished our earl breakfast. When we left there was almost nobody on the road as we left and the four of us managed to line up at a red light. Like any good and stupid teenager would do, my friend in the loud and obnoxcious mustang started revving his engine. I could see his car twitch a little with each stab of the throttle. I did the only sensible thing and revved my engine back.... all the way to nine thousand rpms... i could feel the complete lack of torque from the otherwise mean sounding two litres of fury (intake and exhaust) Despite being insanely cold i had the top down and was in my jacket with the windows up like any highschooler with a quick convertible would be. my roomate in the bimmer shook his head at me but gave me the thumbs up.... the g35 driver gave a nice rev too. Then I saw the adjacent light turn from red to green.... so did my friends everyones engines were preparing for a good launch except my roomate in the 325xi (auto) the light turned green and you could hear the screeching of tires. my heart pounding only to see my roomate ahead of all of us in his 3 series.... he beat all three cars mine being the closest... (gotta love a car that wiegh 2600 pounds), by 3 carlengths to 60... i could hear his system pounding as he continued to pull ahead to about 70 where he shut it down back to the normal speed limit. None of us dared go that fast expecially my friend in his dads new g35 coupe which he stole while his dad was stuck in new york unable to get a flight home. Moral of the story.... four wheel drive is always better in fresh snow.

Old school vr swap, new vr's they are ballz slow... even 1.8 turbo(w/o boost controll) i shit on them like there is no tommorow! Too bad those guys think they are being beatten by an M3, haha, just a measly 325 :)

note: i edited the 325xi kill story for ya mr willis g

come on yall it was the only kill story i could remember involving a 325xi plus it was just full of suspense.... worth a laugh, if you dont believe me, call TBS... not to rag on 325xi's but unmodified i think that might just be the the only time it would beat an s2000 a g35 coupe and a 300hp mustang so hey you gotta take what you can get ill post a picture of his car.... its the only 325xi on black 18's ive ever seen

kill story 2...
it wasnt snowing and i was in an escalade esv (or whatever the suburban one is) rollin on dub deuce csc rims and he was in his bimmer.... bimmer won the 2.5 owned the 6 liter... if you own a 325 stop reading now...but the rims/tires make the sclade sooo slow... its got brembos on it simply because if someone brake checked you on the highway youde be in their back seat. but still another kill for the 325

Me in a '94 325is with 150,000 miles on it, original shocks, 4 season tires,
stock brakes at my first DE - Texas World Speedway in spring 2004.
Here we go folks !!!!

996TT
996
993
Boxster
Boxster S
S2000
944
E36 M3
E46 M3
Z06

OK, so one of the 2 996TTs made 2 seconds per lap on me by the 8th
session of the weekend. Maybe that one didn't count any more.

The trick is to get a good instructor. And I guess maybe I can drive better
than most. All yo have to do is brake as late as possible, nail your entry,
apex and exit, and have smooth hands and feet. And ignore the person
in front who has no earthly idea where they should be.
Oh, and that 325 would go and go and go and go and it never
missed a beat. I did rather cook the brakes though that weekend, they were
OK the pedal just got mushy by the end of a session.

Do those count as kills ?

Oh ya and BTW. Here is the list of cars that spun right in front of me
that weekend:

S2000

The 993 guy just overcooked it at turn 1, but the S2000 was trying too
hard to keep the goof in the clapped out 325 behind him :devillook

It was a fun weekend.

My girlfriend shut down one of her male friends in my e46 325xi, when I used to have it... She said she took it up to 130 or so. The problem is she knows so little about cars I couldn't figure out for the life of me what kind of car she beat from her descriptions... :confused Something mid-90's and japanese I think... :dunno

I'm hoping to make some kills in my 525i... I'm going to strap a vf-engineering blower to it sometime in January. It's supposed to make around 300bhp and 260ft/lbs... hopefully that will sufficiently move my 5's fat 3600lb ass so I can beat something... Yea! :lol
