just wanted to let you guys know that NASA (www.nasarockymountain.com) has returned to Colorado and one of the classes they run is Spec E30 - check out www.spece30.com - it's a good way to get into racing at relatively low cost. - just trying to drum up interest in this racing series.

I spoke with the regional director and it sounds like they want to get a decent amount of events in the area. Too bad most of the tracks are gone now...

The HPDE and Time Trials programs look pretty well laid out.

You said "returns".... I dont think NASA has ever been in this region and I know Spec E30 hasn't. If you haven't built the car, I would highly recommend Spec Miata as a better alternative. Tons of support and huge turnouts in most areas.

Also, I don't think NASA is planning on doing any wheel-to-wheel racing for at least their first full year. They'll be doing HPDEs and time trials to start...

There will be at least a bmw club race in association with the NASA Rocky Mountain event at Miller in Utah in May. It will take most people a while to build a car anyway.

NASA was in Colorado years ago and turned into the "Open Track" group run by Leslie Howard.

Spec Miata is good if you have a healthy bodywork budget. Spec e30 will be run under 13/13 here whenever possible.
