This is the dilemma I find my self in...

a 2000 740iL possibly CPO (running a check tomorrow), with 61000 miles, heated seats, M-Pars, sunshades and 4:3 Nav for $21,000

a 2001 740iL CPO status unknown, with 95000 miles, triptronic and 4:3 Nav for $19,900

What would you guys do?? I'm leaning towards the CPO if in fact it is, but...

Thoughts??????

Seems like a no-brainer to me. 21K CPO, lower miles, options? yeah baby

Matt and Bear,

thanks Guys!! That's what I was leaning towards, pending the report from my local dealer about CPO and inspection. Now the question is what to do with the 97!?!?!:help

Thanks for your input,

Also agree with the consensus.

Sell your 1997 to Bear - he needs another E38 to modify...

We're selling our 98 740i.
If anyone's interested;) :D

Going to get a 2001 740i sport instead:) or a 540i/545i/550i depends on what works best;)

The Reed-mon lurking, stealthily (you can't resist), moving with cat-like quickness..he strikes, bags a Bear!

You are quite the prognosticator, Reed-mon. I will be selling the 97 Beast, and looking for a 'as new as I can find' e38 to play with. Preferrably a 740i Sport. If you know anyone, out there, I am looking for offers. The Beast is absolutely stone mint. I'll get real serious in the spring. How's digs for you?

choice #1 is the obvious

I'd also agree with number 1. In my book it is better to pay a more to get a better platform to start with. Unfortunately, this can become a slippery slope...
