I've only found it in Autozone. I wish my wal-mart carried it.
It works great on BMWs, I would put it in just about any car I own.
BTW its made by Red Line

Techron fuel system cleaner is great stuff too. Also, tell her to run a couple of tankfuls of Shell V Power or Chevron with Techron...

The Red Line fuel system can be found at Pepboys and NAPA, at least in northern California.

if you want to clean your fuel system, get a
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fuel-Injection-Canister-CLEANING-SYSTEM-OTC-TOOLS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43989QQitemZ45935 33290QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
you'll need shop air, and you plug it straight into the fuel system after the fuel filter. 1 cap of 3m cleaner, and the rest of the canister of fuel. disable the fuel pump, and regulate the fuel pressure on the canister to half operating pressure. all the car to run out of fuel. and then you are done. re-enable the fuel pump ,and your on your way

Is that on your brand new 530 or on an older BMW?

Mine is not new (01) reading the manual they specifically state NO ADDITIVES of any type for fuel or oil including cleaners as they may cause harm than good.

Ditto.
Just what is the problem with the car that you hope fuel system cleaner will fix?

Techron is good stuff. Once every 10-15K miles should do the trick. Also, premium fuel has more detergent, she should run a tank full every so often.

The main reason I suggested Shell or Chevron is because both sell "top tier" gas. Check www.toptiergas.com for other retailers of the higher quality stuff. It's approved by a consortium of automakers such as Toyota, GM, and BMW. Apparently it also has higher levels of detergents, which will help keep everything nice and clean. One of the reasons that these automakers formed an alliance of sorts for gas, is that they were noticing declining gas quality leading to dirtier engines with more buildup. This was leading to knock/ping and loss of mileage.
Edit: From the site...
TOP TIER Gasoline Retailers:
QuikTrip
Chevron
Conoco
Phillips
76
Shell
Entec Stations
MFA Oil Company
Kwik Trip/Kwik Star
The Somerset Refinery, Inc.
Chevron-Canada (B.C. only)
This is the reason why I've completely stopped going anywhere other than Shell. Aso no other Top Tier gas supplier is available in Cincinnati. I'll occasionally find a Chevron in Kentucky when I'm driving to a client there, but that's about it.
