Hello. I have heard that the 2002 version of the 745i have a lot of problems with them. Is it a wise idea to just get a 2003 version for more money? I have heard that not all the 2002 versions have major problems but what is the probability that it will? Should I just get the 2003 which costs a lot more? I am thinking that if the 2002 has problems I will have to shell out more money to get it fixed so it will be around the same as buying a 2003 745i. Any opinions?

I'll second that....only problems have been a dead battery every once in a while from all those fircken motors in the car.

If you're worried about it, get an 03 or newer. Another bonus is the i-Drive in the 03's and up were much easier to use than the 02's. The 02 is what gave i-Drive a bad name. A/c issues are also pretty common in both 02 and 03's.
