I'd like to hear what people do to remove window stickers that are permanent/theft-proof (that disintegrate and leave a sticky film when I try to remove them). Thanks.

use paint thinner on a rag....the sticky stuff will come right off- just make sure to clean the window afterwards

easy....

Goto your local hardware shop and pick up a product called "Goof Off". This will remove ANY sticky adhesive/residue left by stickers, bumper stickers, inspection stickers, etc etc etc...

Apply it to a rag and then wipe the infected area, keep wiping until the goo is gone. Once you have removed the offensive adhesive, use your favorite window cleaner to clean up the window.

Works, never had any issues. Just be careful with the contents of Goof Off not to spill onto any plastic/vinyl surfaces, or get it near any other areas. Read the instructions and follow them carefully.

Thanks. Actually, some Simple Green was able to remove all of it.

Actually finger nail polish remover is a cheap and wonderful alternative to get any type of residue adhesive off most materials. (it also will get spray paint off your hands if you are messy!)

Yes, I was going to try that but the mild Simple Green degreaser worked, so I didn't need to. Thanks.
