Hello everyone,
I posted a question on the 5 series page, but the folks there seem to know more about polishing bumpers and headlights than anything actually useful. I am looking for a replacement drive shaft for my heavily modified 6 series. The shaft was originally from an E28 with a 4 speed. The overall length is 63 inches. 29 from trans to CB, and 34 for the back half. It is excessively weak and broke right on the front flange. If anyone has any possible source car in mind with the same specs and the junkyard availbility please let me know. Thanks

There are folks that frequent the 5 series board that aren't at all interested in bling and care only for performance, I did see your post there, but I don't have a clue as to what stock driveshaft would be of any help. I sort of think that you need to be considering a custom driveshaft, fabricated for the loads, rather than a junkyard special meant for a lesser application.

I know that I should get a custom, but as a student I have not ammassed the resources to fully fund this project. I thought that it would drive for now on something that would just fit. The tolerances don't have to be too extravagant beccause the motor only make as much as a stock M6: 286 HP
Thanks for the reply though...
