Hi on my 325 TDS 1996 i have a burring noise coming from the enging bay when i turn the sterring wheel
i can also feel this through the accelorator too just under 1000 rpms

is my Pump on its way out or does it need maintanance
any help would be gratefull

I think you should first check the power steering fluid level

Hi it was half full i filled it to MAX levelit is a bit quieter now
but still very noisey

If the fluid level is correct and the power steering is still noisy you could havee a failing pump. But before contemplating repairs I'd suggest flushing the system with the correct fluid. The fluid type should be marked on the cap of the reservoir. If someone has topped up the system with the wrong fluid there will be problems.
