My GF drives a 2001 ex coupe, and I told her I want to race, so we drive down to an empty street, and stop on the 3rd horn honk we both floor it, I hear her tires squeel and she takes the lead instantly, but then around 40 mph I start to gain, then by 65 im a CL ahead, I was stoked because my e34 525i and e21 320i both got smoked by her car :( Anyways, its not like either of these cars are fast at all, but any kill is good enough for me!:buttrock

Outcome is the 1.8l should still win. I know for a fact that 01 Civic's are slow as crap. My buddy had one, modded (header, chip, exhaust, cam gears, pully's, etc) and the best he ever did was like 17.1 in the 1/4 at 89mph or something around there. Good kill.

Also I have tons of videos of his car not doing a whole lot :)

is CL like the lenght of a Mercedes CL cause thats pretty good those are long cars

Tis the truth. I raced one when I first got my car, stock 323is with a passenger. The Civic had i/h/e/cam gears/tuned and I still walked it pretty hard.

01-05 are all turds with 14" wheels. 2000- are a little better which is why most people take engine's from those. Don't know anything about the new civs.

I'm aware of this as I usually rag on people who race their 318, but in this case, it should without a doubt always beat this honduh.

The civic is garbage, the new 06's are alot better but the older ones don't have any guts whatsoever. I work at honda so I drive them alot, just pulling out into traffic can be a major challenge.
