First thing that came to my mind was an RX-8. I dig it though; I'm sure it'll be butchered between now and production day.

Please don't tell me this is how future 7 will look like :bluecry1
When I am tired of my car, I will definitely not buy something like this. Sorry.
It was painful enough to get the e66, which body style I never liked. But it grew on me over time. The one in the picture - not a chance.

Yes, I think it means that the surface is designed to look like tongues of flame (imagine what cars with flames painted on the side look like, and then apply that to the way the sheet metal is sculpted).

Looks cool to me--very modern but still a BMW!

Little cut 'n paste definition:

Not content with creating body panels that look like contorted baked bean cans, BMW designers have invented a new terminology to describe the distinctive body contours – 'Flame Surfacing'. Flame Surfacing gives body surfaces the freedom to turn in on themselves and create a series of concave and convex design lines

I certainly hope they dumped the ugly trunk that makes the back end look like a casket. I’ve often wondered if the designer did that to send a message that the 2002+ 7s were dead. Hopefully they fired the 2002 designer so anything new they come up with would be positive

The trick to a good photoshop/ "rendering" is not to use a picture that is "widely" available... a concept would be pen'd first then maybe 3d rendered so its 1 off

On top of that its not a very good concept ... Its all wrong :(

BMW always change the wheels with a new model launch .. A better rendering of a future model would be more extreme rather than another "face lift" model
