My friend just got a brand new bike. I'm not too into them, but I took it for a spin and it felt torquey. Anyway, he didn't know the exact specs on his bike, so we decided to run. I let him start off ahead of me and I would follow (2 lane road). To my surprise, I kept up, passed him, and continually left him back. His bike 'felt' about as quick as my car when I rode it, but it couldn't hang whatsoever. Needless to say, he's trading his bike in on an 1100 V-Star this week.

I would estimate it's a sec to 1.2 secs slower in the 1/4 mile. But I am really just guessing. Even the 1100 version ain't gonna be miles ahead performance wise.

i have a buddy that used to wheelie his v-star 650. But yes they are slow as all hell. 1100's arent any more impressive.

My buddy has '05. It can't keep up and is not fast at all. They are cruisers. It's not like his old streetbike '04 R6.
