View Full Version : Another lead for those of you looking to restore 2002's M3Bill 11-21-2005, 04:57 PM No pics or details in the ad....but it is something: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/112555255.html Matt 11-21-2005, 05:19 PM Good deal. If it runs that's an outstanding deal. I wish I could take on another right now. Matt M3Bill 11-22-2005, 01:10 PM Okay, this link has pictures and details.... Looks rough.... http://atlanta.craigslist.org/car/112896401.html Matt 11-22-2005, 02:32 PM I still think it's a good deal. It's a pretty massive project, but they all are, really. Matt ecpreston 11-22-2005, 02:34 PM oh jeebus, that thing looks horrible! Matt 11-22-2005, 02:35 PM oh jeebus, that thing looks horrible! Most of that's just dirt and grime. Don't be such a girl... :stickoutt Matt ecpreston 11-22-2005, 02:37 PM damn thing looks like it's been in a flood! :stickoutt More power to whoever restores that, I'm far too lazy for such things. :beer Matt 11-22-2005, 02:45 PM You could put one of your M10s into a 600lb lighter car if you did... the auto tranny tunnel is much bigger, it fits a 5 speed easily. Matt ecpreston 11-22-2005, 02:49 PM yeah, but then I'd have a front swaybar/control arm combo thing like a damn Saturn. :D Are you still bringing M10's down at thanksgiving? Spoken for? Matt 11-22-2005, 03:03 PM More like christmas. I am flying home for TG. There will be plenty to go around... :help Like the e30's front suspension is any better? Aside from being able to get lighter aluminum control arms, there's hardly any advantage. I would bet that 2002s can get more camber without bending the struts, too. Plus 600lbs makes up for a LOT of technology. Matt ecpreston 11-24-2005, 02:48 PM They only weigh 1700 lbs? If so, yeah, that DOES make up for a lot of suspension. Hey, I'd love an '02, I'm just too lazy to restore one and too cheap to buy a nice one! Restore this one for me and I'll give you $1000 for it :D Matt 11-25-2005, 05:05 PM 1700 is a little low. You could probably finish one out at 1800 with a lot of fiberglass and lexan. Mine's around a ton. I'm pretty happy with that. I just wish it ran better. Matt |
