Great new location for running cones! The Drumright meet this past weekend was really a nice surprise after not having an event for so long. EricP showed up with his black M and had a blast as well as Steve and his 840, and Liebermans monster M. I managed to get a ride with Steve and wow, that thing has some nice pull! Thanks for the co-pilots chair Steve! I have a few pics but haven't been able to download from my camera yet. I'll try to post them tonight.... Here are a few from the web along with a link of where to find more.....

For those who wished they had made it but couldn't for some reason, you have another chance this weekend on Saturday I believe. I would encourage you to give it a shot. You do not need a race preped car like Liebermans, there was a guy running a bone stock Toyota Corolla out there on street tires having a blast. I bet your bimmer would perform a smidge better than the Toy. If you are interested look up greencountrymotorsports.com and get the details. This was just the boost I needed to get the 914 going for next summer.

Thanks Steve, Eric O, Michael, Jamie, and some guy in a Suby Turbo for more time on the track than I have ever had. I think I managed 8-9 runs and didn't even have a car to drive. :devillook

Whoa dude.. sweet pictures. Thanks! I was down at the long end of the course when that S2000 went off. I'm glad nobody was hurt, but it sure was hard to watch. Good thing there were no ditches or bumps out there.

I'm glad to see the NeOkla SCCA has another site. They have been fighting (and losing) that battle for a while now, I know b/c I helped retain the Stroud site an extra year for them. I was luck enough to move to Dallas last year and have had a chance (if I want to) to run every weekend if not twice a weekend during the season. As Lieb will attest, it took a great toll on my car and required a serious amount of maintenance to bring it back into shape. We had our last AX of the season this Sunday. I am also glad to see NeOkla is going to extend their season a few weeks to try to make up some of the missed events. :D

BTW: This is me at one of our several sites, Mineral Wells.

what speeds are achievable at the new site? How does it compare to Stroud, remmington park, or osu-okc?

An S2k went off track today as well. Felt bad for the guy. The fence scratched up his ride something fierce.
