I had just purchased my S45 M Roadster the day before. My wife and I were downtown looking for a store when I pulled up to this red light. I was in the right lane and this lowered Chevy truck with loud exhaust pulls up next to me in the left lane. The guy driving blips his throttle a couple of times while looking over at me. I looked down the road and spotted the store I was looking for about ¾ of a block away on the left side of the road. I figured that I needed to change lanes and wasn’t about to do it behind this guy! The light turned green and the truck hit the gas. I punched first, slammed second and when I looked in the rear view I was about a ¼ block ahead of the truck in the time it took me to cover about ½ of a block. I changed lanes and turned left into the parking lot and the truck eventually came roaring past with a disappointed look on the drivers face. As far me, you couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face with industrial solvent. My wife just looked over at me and said “that would be enough of that”. I haven’t driven my roadster since then because I had return to work back in England. I am so looking forward to retiring from the military next fall so I can go home and play with my new toy some more!
