Okay guys, I'm only 18 years old and i really don't know anything about maintenance and such. I live in the 818 and I don't know of any good shops. Plus, I am unsure of what kind of inspection to get. Supposively, I need an A-Z Inspection, to be more specific... The Inspection 2. I have about 82,000 miles on my car and i think it is time to get one of these inspections, plus, I need an oil change anyways. Can you guys help me with a good shop and price? THANKS!

Welcome to the forums. Its great to hear that you want to take good care of your car. An A-Z look over is not going to be cheap, nor will an work. Welcome to one of the joys of ownership:)

I'm in granada hills and I must say that I visit WH Fry's often hehe:stickoutt

I go to Bimmer Clinic for my work, its good job and does good work.

Never had any problems and work is performed really well.

Hope to see you at some of the local meets and bimmerfest.

Great, ANOTHER car in the 818! Say HELLO to yet even more traffic... :shifty

Just messin' man, congrats on the purchase. Also, if I HAD to share my roads with more cars, I'd rather it be with more Bimmers than anything else. :stickoutt

I mean, is it even mandatory for this inspection? I am just thinking about it because i have this light on that is on the bottom right of my dash. (The yellow sign with 3 pads around a circle?)

Does it look kinda like this? (O)

Check your manual, that's for the brake pads.

Either that was not true or, maybe the sensor is having an issue?

changing brake pads in that car is really easy. you just need to figure out if its the front or back. The sensor is on the front drivers inner brake pad, and the passenger side rear inner pad. A lot of the times if the sensor has not been changed its that. To replace the sensor first buy one. Depending on how you get it some places sell you the sensor with about 10" of wire attached to it. Thats fine just cut your old sensor off around the same area and splice the wires together. Its really not hard. With enough people in the 818 area code there should be plenty of people that can teach you how to change your brake pads and sensor. All you really need is a 7mm hex wrench, a 6 inch c clamp and a flat bladed screw driver. I always use the jack that came with the car to change mine. Any how welcome aboard
