ok... quick question just for the sake of asking... is it possible to take the 5 lug e30 spindles and axels and get them to work (easily) on my e21? it would broaden my range of choices for wheels (to maybe some e30 baskets :cool )

I believe this has already been on the board, If I recall correctly it is more trouble than it is worth.

I think you need either an e24 or e28 rear subframe. Some assembly req'd my friend ;)

Well regular E30's are 4-lug anyway . Its only the E30 M3 thats got the 5-lug .
But the answer is no .
You'll need E12 5-series parts for the front and its basically a bolt-on once you have the facts and the parts .
The rear is commonly done by having custom hubs or by hacking up a 5-series rear subframe .
Neither is easy or cheap .
Just buy some Honda wheels . :D

Ronal has the everdiscontinued LS on sale again for $150 per wheel right now .
They would pretty mean with the E30's offset on a E21 .
But damn $169 is cheap for a set of new wheels .

linky no worky. How about a name brand and model? E21s use an offset of around 13-15mm, so 99% of wheels with 25-40mm offsets will need hella spacers to fit.
BTW - Ray, you are killing me with your responses. Laughing my ass off.

Spacers depend on the wheel and tire specifically, on the car. Lots of buddies running them have had to use trial-and-error fitment to get the result they wanted. You can get close by simple math - normal offset of 13mm. These have 42mm. Use a 29mm spacer to get 13mm. That may or may not fit exactly right, though.
