Fellas,
I know a few exist, just because I saw them sometime ago, but I'm already pulling my hair out trying to find it again. Any help would be appreciated.
TIA!

Dumb question: is it just the light situation that makes them look different, or are they the same shade of yellow? the one on top looks like Dakar Yellow as on the E36 M3. The one at the bottom looks almost neon yellow.

Reason I've asked for pics is that I'm considering painting my E21 some shade of yellow.

Thanks, dude.

Golf is BRIGHT, and IN YOUR FACE! Here's a Golf M2 we had at my shop, a couple years back. Notice it still looks pretty bright, but it's raining out. It used to reflect so much yellow onto that red Volvo, that you could barely tell the Volvo was red. In bright sun, you cannot look into a fresh Golf paint job.

Al,

Is there a lighter shade? Or would the Golf color be considered more authentic/period correct? Would blacked-out chrome trim look good with that? I think it would - but I would keep the kidney grills chromed, though. Or blacked out too. I dunno. My E36's kidney grills are blacked out too. Anyway, thanks for the pics!

I'll also be picking up a set of Recaro replacement elastic bands that you mentioned some time ago... in the next week or two... set aside a set for 2 seats, will you? Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for a little more subtle yellow, try Sierrabeige. My 77 630csi is that colour, and we call the "Smashed Banana". Very classic colour, and definitely period correct for an E21. I have a love/hate relationship with it, but these days, it's more love than hate.

Here's my 2 E24's the day the 77 came home, and before I put some decent wheels on the 83!

The one on the first two pics doesn't seem to be Golf. Golf has sort of a green tint to it..

Love the one with the Alpina wheels.

Thanks, guys. I'm liking the ones in the #11 & #12 posts. Less intense, but still stands out.
