Thanks for your time. skateparks 11-15-2005, 07:05 PM with that kind of mileage I would make sure the Nikasil block has been replaced or don't bother. Otherwise Carfax it and go off the condition. $4k is pretty cheap, maybe a great deal, maybe a nightmare. xatlas0 11-15-2005, 07:34 PM If it is an auto, unless it has been extremely well-kept, the transmission is likely ready to depart, too. Fishstick 11-16-2005, 07:22 PM Alright thanks guys. Just trying to learn everything I can about the cars. sdwhitney 11-16-2005, 07:59 PM Wow 4k! BimmerFreak 11-16-2005, 10:36 PM 4k is super get the car in your driveway. Plan on spending another 4k on misc. repairs if the car has been serviced in the proper intervals. Any word on the condition of the motor? I would suggest a leakdown test, a full PPI, and make sure you check to see if the tranny has been replaced or serviced. Good luck! I will be up in CT to pick up my car next week...and if you wanted my 18s, we could meet up and make a trade :) LMK skateparks 11-16-2005, 10:50 PM pm'ed ya' |
