Anyone know the specs on the 524 Turbo Diesel Turbo? I imagine it is a T3 but really don't know what the compressor/housing or turbine/housing is.

I have 2 turbo projects right now - the M10 2.0, and a 1.9 Diesel VW. I have a T3 60 Trim sitting on the shelf - I had planned on using it on the M10. I suspect the 524 turbo is slightly smaller and would be good on the VW, and so probably will use the 524 T3 on the 1.9 VW, but was just curious about specs and haven't found anything on the net.

Try e30 tech board in the turbo charged section.

When i found the 524td in the yard, I took the whole block off it, I dont recall where the turbo or the size it was running, but the guys on that board know there stuff.

swap to the T3, the one in the TD designed for a diesel, low rpm-low boost. It will boost early in the rpm and when your car starts to move it will taper off boost in the higher rpms.
Go to e30tech.com and go their turbocharging section. Great help there
