Heading home on the I-10, I was in a hurry so I was doing 80mph. I past a camaro, then a few seconds later it does a fly by. I catch up to him and we hit it. We were even until we hit traffic and his lane we clear and my lane and the lane next to me had to two cars so I shut her down @ 110mph. So he continues for a little bit and flashes his lights. What does flashing your lights mean? I won or good race? I didn't get a chance to pull next to him, he pulled off at the next exit.

Down in the South the flashers signifies "I win!"

not necessarily (sp?). When you are in 2 lanes side by side flashers mean I win. If you are pulling off a ramp and you or the other guy who DOESN'T go off the ramp from the hwy flashes, that means good race/thanks/good run/etc. Its not parting ways without saying bye (in ^^ his situation at least). Did I explain this right guys? lol

I asked the same thing when someone did that to me. although he shouldn't have put on his flashers if you were even, you slowed down because of traffic.

Sounds like a draw to me considering traffic conditions.

I've had a guy or 2 thorw flashers on from a bus length or 2 behind.

Hazards are supposed to me danger or caution :D I've seen people who were about to race flash them because they saw a cop.

When racing what they should be used for is to show who won. It mainly started with street racing, from a stop. If you have like 10 kids at the start point, they want to know who won. So once the cars are 1/4 a way it's hard to tell by eye who won, thus the hazards. If you ever seen crappy videos of street racing, where the filmer isn't moving, the only way to tell is by the hazards.

When I win (which is not often, 00 E39 528iA, and E46 325iA) i dont even bother with flashing any lights...when me and my buddies cruise in a group of cars hazards means the radar detector is going off....:D

yea hazards generally means i won if done after the run starts if done before usually means i wanna race ... or it can just be a means of getting the other driver's attention for whatever reason

I had this old pontiac grand prix put his hazzards on me cuz he was in front, I wasn't ever trying. he keeps turning it on and off, toying with me. I slammed on the gas and was about to chew him up at 140 mph on an empty freeway, and he put his tail between his leg and ran off.
